WORKING AT HEIGHTS AWARENESS TRAINING

This awareness course is designed for anyone who needs to gain a sound understanding of working at heights, including safe access/egress, equipment types and inspection, and risk management related to performing work at heights safely.

Upon completion, you will have a sound understanding in:

• What constitutes working at height
• Planning and preparing for work at heights
• Hazard Identification and Risk Management associated with work at height
• Relevant documents including Procedures, Permits, JHA’s, SWMS
• Equipment type and selection, including:
  • Work positioning systems
  • Ladders
  • Fall prevention devices
  • Fall arrest systems – anchor points; static lines; lanyards; inertia reels; harness
  • Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Equipment including PPE safe use, inspection, maintenance and discard critera
• Performing work safely at heights
• Finishing work, storing equipment and clean up

Note this is not the Working at Heights Refresher Course. 

Course cost $59.00 (plus GST)

This course is conducted fully online and is self-paced.

Once you have enrolled, the course will remain open to you for 90 days.  You can re-visit the course as many times as you like and resume from where you left off.

  • Google Chrome is recommended.
• Browser must have JavaScript enabled (most do)
• Speakers or headphones are required.
• Internet connection with 2.5 Mbps+.
• Check that your company firewall is not blocking the video content.

As this is online learning, you will need to have proficiency in reading and typing in English, as well as basic computer skills.

This course is fully online so you will need to have access to a computer, tablet or phone and have an email address to complete your registration.

Upon successful completion you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion in Confined Space Awareness.
