VEHICLE LOADING CRANE <10 METRE TONNE (UTE CRANE) AWARENESS TRAINING

This comprehensive online course covers essential theoretical knowledge on the safe operation of vehicle mounted cranes with a capacity that is less than 10 metre tonnes (MT). 

The course is suitable for anyone operating a mounted crane on a ute tray, trailer, small truck, van, vessel, or any other vehicle where the crane is deemed non-licenced (<10TM Capacity).  These could be small knuckle booms, jib type, back ease, hydraulic, electric or bespoke lifters.  The course applies to all working environments and is ideal as a refresher/VOC, duty of care training or proof of knowledge.

Upon completion, you will have a sound understanding in:

• Legislative and licencing requirements for vehicle mounted crane operators
• Crane components and controls
• Pre-start, pre-operation and post-use inspections
• Hazards and managing risks associated with crane operations
• Crane dynamics and forces
• Safe set-up
• Basic sling inspection and selection
• Safe lifting techniques and operation
• Communication
• Shutdown and operator maintenance (incl fault finding, tagging, recording and reporting)

This course is conducted fully online and is self-paced.

Once you have enrolled, the course will remain open to you for 90 days.  You can re-visit the course as many times as you like and resume from where you left off.
