OVERHEAD AND GANTRY CRANE AWARENESS TRAINING

This comprehensive online course covers essential theoretical knowledge on the safe operation of overhead and gantry cranes.  This includes, monorail, jib, gantry, bridge and electric overhead cranes that have 3 or less powered movements E.G. raise/lower (1), east/west (2), north/south (3).  The course applies to all working environments and is ideal as refreshers/VOC or proof of knowledge.

Upon completion, you will have a sound understanding in:

• Legislative and licencing requirements for overhead crane operators
• Crane components and controls
• Pre-start, pre-operation and post-use inspections
• Hazards and managing risks associated with overhead crane operations
• Crane dynamics and forces
• Basic sling inspection and selection
• Safe lifting techniques and operation
• Communication
• Shutdown and operator maintenance (incl fault finding, tagging, recording and reporting)

Course cost $69.00 (plus GST)

This course is conducted fully online and is self-paced.

Once you have enrolled, the course will remain open to you for 90 days.  You can re-visit the course as many times as you like and resume from where you left off.
