CONFINED SPACE ENTRY AWARENESS TRAINING

This awareness course is for anyone who needs to gain a sound understanding of working in and around confined spaces across multiple industries. 

Upon completion, you will have a sound understanding in:

• Steps to identify a confined space as per WHS Legislation
• Examples of areas within the workplace that could be determined as confined spaces
• Spaces that are not considered confined spaces as per the legislation
• Confined space hazards:
  • Unsafe oxygen levels
  • Fire and explosion
  • Atmospheric hazards
  • Other hazards such as engulfment/entrapment
• Associated technical and safety documents and procedures including emergency response plans
• Associated equipment:
  • Rescue, safety, lowering and raising equipment
  • Communication equipment types in confined spaces
  • Atmospheric testing equipment
  • Respiratory equipment
  • Personal Protective Equipment
• Preparing a confined space for entry
• Safe access, including personnel, tools and equipment
• Working safely in the space
• Exiting and closing/making safe

Note this is not the Confined Space Refresher Course.

This course is conducted fully online and is self-paced.

Once you have enrolled, the course will remain open to you for 90 days.  You can re-visit the course as many times as you like and resume from where you left off.

• Browser must have JavaScript enabled (most do)
• Speakers or headphones are required.
• Internet connection with 2.5 Mbps+.
• Check that your company firewall is not blocking the video content.

As this is online learning, you will need to have proficiency in reading and typing in English, as well as basic computer skills.

This course is fully online so you will need to have access to a computer, tablet or phone and have an email address to complete your registration.

Upon successful completion you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion in Confined Space Awareness.
